Za dom - spremni! is a Croatian salute that is literally translated "For home - ready!". It became infamous used during World War II by the Ustaše movement as their equivalent of the Nazi Sieg Heil, though the Ustaše salute also included the phrase "Za koga? Za Poglavnika!" meaning "For whom? For the Poglavnik!".
The salute became popular among nationalists in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina during the Yugoslav Wars. The Bosnian Croat Croatian Defence Forces used it as their official salute and included it in their logo.
The Croatian music band Thompson uses the salute at concerts, wearing black, while some of the public wear Ustaše symbols to the concerts.[1][2][3] Thompson has even used the slogan in one of his songs Bojna - Čavoglave; some fans respond with the Nazi salute, though their lead singer Marko Perković has denied ever "raising his hand" in the salute himself[4].
